Our latest ChessMonitor updates: Introducing the Elo rating history, the 2024 FIDE rating update and new multi-selection filters.

TL;DR:
The most upvoted feature request (with 48 points) has now been implemented. We now consolidate all games per month into a single monthly Elo estimate, which is now displayed as a graph on your Rating page.
This same graph is also featured on the Overview page. Please note that this estimate is not as precise as the overall estimate, which factors in more than just a single month when calculating your rating. The history graph provides a rough estimate rather than an exact FIDE rating.
In March 2024, the FIDE International Chess Federation implemented a significant update to their rating system. We have now incorporated this update into our rating estimates. Players with ratings below 2000 will notice a visual indicator in their graph (as shown in the image above) that highlights the increase in their rating.
If you're interested in the rationale behind the FIDE update and would like to see a detailed animation of the evolution of FIDE ratings, check out our post on the history of FIDE ratings.
We've enhanced our filters on the Games, Explorer, and Openings pages to support multi-selection, allowing you to choose and view multiple options simultaneously.
